it's all about
Tuesday
it's all about Tuesday is set in the real Harvey's Tales, located in Geneva, Illinois. The inspiration for this project came from the writer & director CJ Metz, who worked at Harvey's Tales during his senior year of high school as their barista. Through this experience, he saw the power that a mom-and-pop bookstore had on the general public and how it brought people together.

The power of bringing people together is the backbone of this project. And sometimes, it just takes one person to create something so bizarre that brings a group of people together.
about the Sitcom...
Tuesday Shikany was recently hired to be the lead barista for the new coffee bar at Harvey's Tales. Although she is severely inexperienced, she wants to attract and connect with local college students by creating a special 38.7% black coffee discount, only on Tuesdays. Despite what her co-worker Sheila Munder thinks, the discount is a huge success.

Meanwhile, seasoned bookseller Sheila struggles over her boss' decision to hire Tuesday for the coffee bar instead of her. In her usual dramatic fashion, Sheila plans to host a book signing for a local author as her big send-off before she quits. However, when her special book signing falls on a Tuesday, things get tricky as Tuesday and Sheila begin to clash and truths are revealed.

taking inspiration from classic Sitcoms...
it's all about Tuesday is inspired by a lot of classic sitcoms that focus on people coming together over a common cause or concern. Various customers are drawn to Harvey's Tales because of Tuesday's discount, where they start to interact with one another and become friends.

that old-timey Feeling...
This project will be filmed with multiple cameras on a three-walled set and accompanied by a laugh track. We studied several of the sitcoms displayed here to help bring that feel to life. And the idea is to create a world and several characters that could sustain a series of television and be something that people can come back to week after week.
